Spotlight on Peace
Saint Rita, the Saint of
Impossibe Dreams
Rita's parents prayed for a child and they were blessed with a little girl. Rita grew and she was promised in marriage to a young man. The couple married ane they had twin boys. The husband and sons died and Rita was free to become a sister, as she had always hoped. It was not easy to become a sister after having been married. Rita prayed very much and God helped her. Rita's symbol is roses. Today, we can pray to Saint Rita to help us.
This is the story our Kindergarten students so beautifully portrayed for the school community as we dedicate May to Saint Rita, an example of someone who lived a life of faith and peace.
