Daily prayer will include a prayer for vocations and guest speakers will address the student body via SGS TV.
Students will make cards for the Sisters of Saint Joseph who reside a the Saint Joseph Villa to express gratitude for their vocation.
Tuesday: SGS Lights the Way: In Students
This day promises to be an exciting one for the youngest to the oldest student.
Crazy Hat Day . . . design a hat to be worn;
Box Lunch will be the lunch for the day; and a
concert offered by an alum, Mickey Leone, and Monique Canniere will be held in the afternoon.
Wednesday: Lights the Way: In the Community
Speakers from our neighborhood have been invited to speak on their role in the community.
Extending beyond our local area, students will donate items to make birthday bags for children in St. Patrick Parish, Norristown.
The students give Sister Theresa a special remembrance. A very special silver keep-sake box full of warm messages of appreciation. She is one of twelve distinguished Principals in the whole country.
Thursday: SGS Lights the Way: In Faculty and Staff
You deserve a big hand! A large banner is designed for students to write a thank you message to faculty and staff. Each student will receive a die-cut hand to write his or her message that will decorate the banner.
Student Council will provide lunch!
Friday: SGS Lights the Way at the Cathedral with a special Mass of Thanksgiving
The faculty has been invited to attend a mass of thanksgiving at the Cathedral, celebrated by Cardinal Rigali. His Eminence will take this opportunity to express his gratitude for all teachers who serve in Catholic education throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. (There will be no School for students!)
